What is an Application Evaluation?
An Application Evaluation is a free engineering review of your sealing connection requirements. You submit your application details—port geometry, pressure, media, and operating conditions—and a FasTest engineer recommends the right connector solution, whether that’s a standard product, a modification, or a custom design.
Is there a cost for the Application Evaluation?
No. The Application Evaluation is completely free with no obligation. FasTest engineers review your application and provide a recommendation at no charge.
How long does it take to get a response?
Most standard product evaluations are turned around the same business day. Custom applications typically receive an initial concept response within 1–2 business days. Complex projects that require detailed engineering analysis may take slightly longer, and your FasTest contact will communicate the timeline.
What if I don’t have all the technical details the form asks for?
Submit what you have. Our engineers will follow up to gather any missing information. A partial submission is always better than no submission—it starts the conversation and ensures we can begin evaluating your application.
Can I send drawings or CAD files?
Yes. You can attach files to the form, email drawings directly to fastsales@fastestinc.com, or share them with your local FasTest distributor. Dimensioned port drawings, CAD models, and photos of the connection point dramatically speed up the evaluation process.
Is the Application Evaluation only for custom projects?
No. The Application Evaluation is for any connector selection question—standard products, modified standard products, and custom designs. If you’re not sure which FasTest connector fits your application, this is the best place to start.
What industries does FasTest support?
FasTest serves automotive and EV manufacturing, aerospace, HVAC-R, compressed gas, medical and life science, fluid power, and appliance industries. Our engineers have experience across all of these sectors and can evaluate applications in any of them.
Can I submit an Application Evaluation on behalf of my customer?
Yes. Distributors and sales engineers frequently submit Application Evaluations on behalf of end customers. Include the end-user’s application details and your contact information, and FasTest will work with you to deliver the recommendation.
What happens if FasTest doesn’t have a solution for my application?
We’ll tell you. If a standard, modified, or custom FasTest solution isn’t the right fit for your application, our engineers will explain why and, where possible, suggest alternative approaches. We’d rather give you an honest answer than sell a connector into an application where it won’t perform.
