FasTest Seals
Elastomeric seals play a critical role in the performance and reliability of connection tools used in testing, filling, processing, and other fluid-handling applications. As the sealing interface between the connector and the component under test or production process, the seal is essential for maintaining a leak-tight connection – preventing pressure loss, product contamination, and unwanted fluid leakage. Because seals are in direct contact with process media, selecting the appropriate seal material is vital to ensure chemical compatibility, resist degradation, and maintain long-term performance under demanding operating conditions.
Seal Material Options
Selecting the right seal material is just as important as selecting the right connector. Process media, operating temperature, pressure requirements, and cycle life all influence seal performance. FasTest offers a wide range of seal materials engineered to meet diverse application requirements across industries and fluid types. Designed specifically for use with FasTest connectors, our seals provide precise fit, reliable sealing performance, and full compliance with the connector's intended pressure and cycle-life specifications. The result is consistent leak-tight operation, extended service life, reduced maintenance requirements, and lower total cost of ownership for your testing and fluid-handling processes.
FasTest HDU – The best choice for wear resistance and high cycle life. Made of a proprietary polyurethane chemistry, FasTest’s latest innovation – FasTest HDU seals – offer industry-leading durability and wear-resistance, lasting up to ten times longer than conventional urethane seals. When purchased with FE or FI connectors, FasTest offers a 1-year seal replacement program. Choose FasTest HDU seals when maximum cycle life, durability, and resistance to mechanical wear are of utmost importance.
Urethane – An excellent choice for wear resistance and high cycle life. Choose urethane when cycle life, durability, and resistance to mechanical wear are more important than broad chemical compatibility.
Neoprene – Excellent balance of weather resistance and moderate chemical compatibility. Choose neoprene when you need a versatile sealing material with good environmental resistance and broad general-purpose performance.
Viton – The best choice for aggressive chemicals and high temperatures. Choose Viton when maximum chemical compatibility and elevated temperature performance are critical to process reliability.
EPDM – Ideal for water-based applications. Choose EPDM if your primary media are glycol, steam, or water-based chemicals, and long-term environmental resistance is important.
Buna-N – the best choice for oils and petroleum-based fluids. Choose Buna-N when your application involves oils, lubricants, hydraulic fluids, or general-purpose industrial media.
