• Develop a handle to the exact size needed to fit over the valve guards with minimal excess length that might interfere with adjacent cylinders or connectors
• Utilize as much of our existing and proven cable bail handle design as possible and adapt it for this unique use case

Solution

The FasTest team partnered closely with the customer, meticulously analyzing their high-volume filling setup to understand the spatial challenges posed by their oversized valve guards. Building on our proven cable bail handle design, we crafted a new #10 cable handle option by strategically extending the length—just enough to slip effortlessly over the valve guards, yet trim enough to avoid snagging on nearby cylinders or connectors. This tailered adaptation preserved the reliability and familiarity of our existing platform while delivering a custom-fit solution that tackled the customer’s unique needs with precision and speed, proving once again that FasTest handles even the toughest challenges in stride.

Results

The #10 cable handle option raced into action, boosting the customer’s fill plant efficiency by streamlining connections and slashing removal times by over 20% compared to their previous setup. Its Goldilocks fit—not too long, not too short—eliminated interference with adjacent cylinders, turning a cramped, fiddly process into a fast, fluid operation that kept safety front and center. The enhanced workflow not only accelerated throughput but also reduced wear on equipment, delivering a win for productivity and peace of mind that kept the line moving at top speed.
